The Last battle Wyllie & Martins

The Last battle Wyllie & Martins

Greetings,
Rather interesting submittal by Liam here,
Does anybody know if it was a common practise back in that era to have a book bound with the cover of another book...?
It seems posible to me that, in being "thrifty" someone might use the cover of a book with badly damaged interior pages on another book.
I imagine it was not "cheap" getting a book bound at all, and if a cover was available to give to the book binder to save on the binding cost, why not ? Seems reasonable enough to me.... :?:
